Motion Graphic & Video Editing

I have a strong interest in motion graphics and have been teaching myself After Effects and Premiere Pro through YouTube tutorials and paid online courses.

My fascination with motion graphics began with opening title sequences in films and TV shows.

These short 15-second intros left a powerful impression on me, and I was amazed by how much impact they could create in such a brief moment. This curiosity led me to explore how typography and effects can be used to leave a lasting impression on an audience, ultimately inspiring me to dive into motion graphics.

I'm really passionate about motion graphics. In my spare time, I like to take online courses and experiment with new techniques. I enjoy exploring different styles and trends to keep my skills fresh and push my creativity further.

What we do in this project

As people around me became aware of my passion for video production and design, I started receiving more inquiries about filming and photography.

This video is a conference recap I created after attending and capturing footage and photos at my church’s conference event.

I primarily used After Effects for the editing, but for quick text overlays or minor adjustments, I made edits using Premiere Pro or Media Encoder.

What was challenging and how we solved it

Meeting the tight deadline was one of the biggest challenges, as the organisers wanted to showcase the recap video on the final day of the conference.

Most conferences lasted 3–4 days, during which I stayed on-site, handling both video and photography. Each evening, I sorted through the footage and images to prepare for the final edit. Since the organisers always requested the video to be ready by the last day, I had to carefully select the best clips and photos each night and pull an all-nighter before the final day to complete the video.

With events running from 7 AM to 11 PM, I had very little time to edit during the day, so I had to work through the early hours of the morning. It was exhausting, but I managed to meet every deadline.
