As a freelance designer, I have created visually compelling print and digital solutions including flyers, brochures, outdoor display signs, pull-up banners, labels, website banners, display ads, and billboard ads.
As a café supplier, Pomona sells powdered ingredients and coffee syrups to numerous cafés across Australia. They approached me to design a general drink poster that could be used in any café, even though they weren’t sure which specific café would use it.
I also created dessert and cake brochures for Yellow Stage, a Korean café located in Eastwood. They wanted to include detailed ingredient lists for each cake to ensure transparency for their customers.
Family Dental in Lidcombe and the cosmetics company Belle Lanco both needed simple websites on a limited budget.
Lidcombe Family Dental wanted to include detailed information about their various services on a single subpage. To achieve this, I designed the main page with animated buttons for each service, allowing users to click and be taken directly to the relevant section on the subpage.
Belle Lanco required an eCommerce website, which I built using Wix. I also integrated it with their Instagram to enhance their online presence.
One of the biggest challenges I faced as a freelancer was managing client feedback.
Communicating design ideas solely through emails and phone calls often proved difficult, so whenever possible, I arranged face-to-face meetings with clients. I would bring my laptop and go through the designs together in real time.
When in-person meetings weren’t an option, I used Zoom to share my screen while discussing the designs. I also utilised collaborative tools like Figma and Miro to collect client feedback efficiently. However, many of my clients were not very familiar with digital tools, so in most cases, we relied on Zoom screen sharing to exchange feedback.
